Wafaq ul Madaris Arabia Pakistan has rejected the amount of Rs. 5 billion allocated in the budget 2020

Islamabad (June 12, 2020) Wafaq ul Madaris Arabia Pakistan has rejected the amount of Rs. 5 billion allocated in the budget for the reform of madrassas, saying that allocating Rs. 5 billion for the reform of madrassas raises many doubts. The leaders of the Federation say that at a time when educational activities in all madrassas are suspended, it is astonishing to allocate this huge amount in the budget. Madrassa electricity and gas bills were not waived and no share of madrassa teachers and students was kept in the relief fund. And now at this very moment for madrassa reform, not knowing so much money is part of what agenda? The leaders of the Wafaq ul Madaris Arabia Pakistan say that huge budgets have already been allocated in the name of Madrassa reform, and there have been many efforts and the outcome is in front of us so we will not allow the nation to be deceived.

According to details, the leaders of the Federation of Arab Madrassas of Pakistan, Maulana Dr. Abdul Razzaq Iskander, Maulana Anwar-ul-Haq and Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari have rejected the allocation of Rs. 5 billion in the budget for the reform of madrassas. Leaders of the Federation of Madrassas have made it clear that the system of religious madrassas has been running for centuries without any government support. And even in the future, madrassas will not accept any kind of government budget. Leaders of madrassas said that after the situation caused by the coronavirus outbreak, the electricity and gas bills of madrassas and mosques were not waived and no funds were allocated for the teachers and students of madrassas like in other sectors. But now a sudden and huge allocation of Rs. 5 billion for madrassa reform raises a lot of doubts. Leaders of the Federation of Madrassas said that this was not the first time that budgets had been allocated in the name of madrassa reform and foreign aid had been taken. And then the result of the madrassa reform is in front of us, so we will not allow the nation to be deceived again.
