HEC proposal for admission in Ph.D. on the basis of BS (Honors).

Higher Education Commission plans to change the admission policy of the Ph.D. degree program. Proposal for admission in Ph.D. on the basis of BS (Honors). Suggestion to give the student the option to get admission in Ph.D. in any subject, not necessary to have a previous degree in the relevant subject. GAT is no more required for admission in Ph.D. degree. The duration of a Ph.D. to increase from one year to two years, and to terminate weekend and evening classes, also proposed.
