The Govt of Pakistan to confer the highest civilian honor of Pakistan to Syed Ali Shah Geelani leader of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.

A resolution by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan has been unanimously passed by the Senate of Pakistan,  to confer the highest civilian honor of Pakistan to Quaid-e-Hurriyat Syed Ali Shah Geelani. According to the resolution The Government of Pakistan now has these three options;

1. His efforts to be included in the curriculum at the federal and provincial levels.
2. The newly formed University of Science and Emerging Technologies in Islamabad should be named after him.
3. Govt to take steps to facilitate his treatment from the place of his choice.
